Share Wakelet collections of materials for students to explore and interact with, all within Microsoft Teams!
We’re thrilled to announce that you can now add the Wakelet App to your Microsoft Teams Assignments. This is awesome for sharing reference materials and resources with your students!
How does it work?
Step One:
Create an Assignment on Microsoft Teams. Select the Apps button and find the Wakelet App, add it to your Assignment!
Step Two:
Once you’ve selected the Wakelet App, a pop-up will appear displaying a box for you to input your Wakelet collection’s URL into. Remember – your collection must be pre-set as either Public or Unlisted, or it won’t embed!
Step Three:
Now that your Wakelet Collection has been added to your Assignment, your students can access it from their side! The collection will be accessible underneath the Reference Materials tab in the Assignment.
Students can view, explore and interact with your Wakelet collection from within Microsoft Teams, and will not navigate away from the Assignment: your class can engage with your assignment and materials, all in one place!
We’re SO excited to see how everyone will make the most of our latest integration with Microsoft Teams! Here are a few Top Tips to help you get started:
- Share supporting materials: Setting your students a task? Embedding Wakelet collections inside your Assignments is perfect for ensuring your class has everything they need to understand the project! With just one click, students can jump into your collection, and explore resources and content to help them on their way!
- Increase student engagement: Be creative with your Wakelet collections! As well as sharing materials and resources, why not add a Flipgrid video to your collection? Add your personality to the assignment with introductory messages, extra instruction, and feedback videos!
- Share lesson plans in your Assignments: Wakelet is awesome for creating visual, organized lesson plans to share with your students! Your class can jump in and out of your lesson plan as they navigate the assignment. This adds structure and relevant materials to your class project!
